Private Training
Doggone Special offers one-on-one, in-person private dog training or virtual training sessions. All private training begins with a consultation, where we get to know you and your dog and assess the areas we should focus on. We will provide you with a personalized training and management program to meet your goals and your dog's needs. We take a holistic approach. We will guide you through a plan that addresses your dog's physical, mental, emotional, and social welfare.

We offer private dog training and behavioral modification to puppies, new rescues, and dogs of all ages.
In-Person Training
Whether you live in an urban or suburban environment, we will help your furry family member assimilate to your household, customizing a training and behavior modification program that fits in with your lifestyle and addresses your dog's needs. Training sessions typically begin at your home where your dog is comfortable and where we have more control over the environment. This sets your pup up for success to learn new skills. As your dog progresses, we will move to more challenging settings with more distractions such as hallways, lobbies, and backyards then onto even more distracting environments like sidewalks, streets, and parks. Nothing is ever set in stone, though. Depending on what needs to be addressed and the training required, the approach we take is determined on a case-by-case basis and your preferences.
Generally, in person training is offered to clients living in our service area.
Virtual Training
Virtual sessions are offered to everyone, regardless of where you live. All you need is a desktop or tablet (we don't recommend phones) and a reliable internet connection. We conduct our virtual sessions through Zoom.
Just like in person sessions, we will customize training based on your goals and your dogs needs. We will also provide you with handouts from our sessions for further reference. Some clients choose to train both in-person and virtually.
