Training

Private Training

Doggone Special offers in-person, private dog training and virtual training sessions. We begin private training with a behavior assessment where we get to know you and your dog and determine what to focus on. We provide a personalized training and management plan to meet your goals and your dog's needs. Using a holistic approach, our program addresses your dog's physical, mental, emotional, and social well- being.

In-Person Training

We will customizie a training and behavior modification program designed to fit your lifestyle while addressing your dog's specific needs.  Training sessions typically begin at your home where your dog is most comfortable and where we can better control the environment.  This helps set your pup up for success to learn new skills.  As your dog progresses, sessions will gradually move to more challenging locations with increasing levels of distractions such as hallways, lobbies, and backyards before advancing to busier environments like sidewalks, streets, and parks.  Every training plan is flexible and tailored on a case-by-case basis to ensure the best results for you and your dog.  In person training is typically offered to clients living in our service area

Virtual Training

Virtual sessions are offered to everyone, regardless of where you live.   All you need is a desktop or tablet and a reliable internet connection. As with our in-person sessions, training will be tailored to your goals and your dog’s individual needs. We willalso provide helpful handouts after each session for you to reference as you continue practicing.. Some clients find that a combination of in-person and virtual training works best for them, and we’re happy to support either—or both—approaches.
